Who looks after your data

This policy covers the GODRIFTY. iOS and Android app and GODRIFTY. Club accounts on the web and in the app. For privacy questions or deletion requests, contact GODRIFTY. at info@godrifty.cz.

What stays on your phone

Without signing in, your language and saved events stay on the device. After signing in to GODRIFTY. Club, your language and saved event IDs sync with your server account for use on the web and other phones; a local copy also remains on the phone. You can remove saved events at any time. System permissions and notification subscriptions remain separate for each device.

An optional Club account contains your email, name, optional bio and language. Passwords are stored as security hashes, not readable text. Profiles are not automatically public. Resend delivers verification and password recovery emails, processing the recipient address and message content needed for delivery. Your account supports authentication and sync; it is not marketing consent.

If you choose Google sign-in, we verify its signed credential and use your Google account identifier, verified email and name. We never receive your Google password or request access to your mail, contacts or files. Google also processes sign-in under its privacy policy. We do not use this sign-in for advertising tracking in the app.

Location and maps

With permission, we use your location only to centre the map on your surroundings. We do not track you in the background or send GPS coordinates to the GODRIFTY. server. You can revoke permission in your phone settings. The map still works without it, using your device region or time zone to estimate its starting area.

Maps are provided by Apple on iOS and Google on Android. Their services process network and map requests, such as your IP address and the displayed area, under their own policies.

Notifications are your choice

Notifications are off by default. Enabling them sends our server your phone’s delivery address (push token), a random installation identifier, device platform, language, time zone and subscription preferences. Saved-event reminders also send those event IDs. We use this information to send your selected notifications at suitable times, not for advertising. Expo and Apple or Google deliver them.

Turn notifications off in GODRIFTY. settings. Without internet, the app completes the request after reconnecting; messages may still arrive until the change is confirmed. A message already handed to the delivery service cannot be recalled. You can also revoke notification permission in your phone settings.

Optional email newsletter

The newsletter is off by default for new and existing accounts. You enable it only through separate consent in your account settings. Registration, Google sign-in and enabling push notifications are not newsletter consent. The newsletter contains occasional personally written GODRIFTY news and information about upcoming benefits, not automated race alerts.

Your account records your subscription choice and details of its confirmation and changes. To manage subscriptions and deliver newsletters, we share your email address, subscription status and newsletter list membership with Resend. We do not share your bio, saved events or location for the newsletter. Resend also describes its processing in the privacy policy linked below.

Withdraw at any time in your account settings on the web or in the app, or through the link in each newsletter. Settings need an internet connection; after an error, wait for confirmation of the current status and repeat the change if needed. Signing out or uninstalling the app does not unsubscribe you. Turning off the newsletter does not change push notifications or prevent essential sign-in and password recovery messages.

How long we keep data

We retain Club accounts until deletion. Registrations with an email still unverified after 30 days are automatically removed during regular cleanup.

Active push subscriptions are kept for up to 180 days after the last sync; push delivery records for up to 30 days. Once disabling is confirmed, we remove the delivery address, preferences, language, time zone, saved event IDs and detailed delivery history.

To stop an old delayed request from reactivating the subscription, we keep a minimal cancellation record for 180 days: a random identifier, a security fingerprint of the key, change sequence and cancellation and expiry times. Automatic cleanup runs regularly. Enabling notifications again creates a new subscription.

Connections and external links

The app downloads public event information and images from GODRIFTY. Our server and its providers process ordinary connection information, such as IP addresses, needed to deliver content and keep the service secure. We do not use it for advertising profiles.

Organizer, partner and directions links open outside the app. Those websites and apps have their own privacy policies. This app policy does not replace the GODRIFTY. website’s cookie policy.

Your choices and rights

You can request information about processing, access, correction or deletion of your data and, where applicable, restriction, portability or object to processing. Email info@godrifty.cz; we may need to safely verify which record your request concerns. You can also complain to the relevant data protection authority; in Czechia, this is the Office for Personal Data Protection.

You can delete your Club account and profile data, including saved events, from your profile in the app or on the website. We retain them for the lifetime of your account; confirmed deletion removes it from the active database and invalidates sign-ins. Uninstalling does not itself delete the account or the separate push subscription. Turn notifications off first and wait for confirmation. Browsing events requires no account, location or notification permission.
